Your donations help the Elko Cancer Network to achieve our mission
To connect cancer patients / survivors with volunteers and/or providers that can offer support and needed services during and after cancer treatments.
The Elko Cancer Network is working to bring important clinical services to northeastern Nevada, such as mobile mammography, PET/CT, and Medical Oncology services. Donations help us to secure these much needed services for our area patients.
In addition, the Elko Cancer Network helps patients in need of speech, occupational, and nutritional therapy.
Donations also help provide funding for patient travel expenses, such as gas cards or assistance with hotel/housing (some restrictions apply); financial aid to assist with rent, groceries, and utilities while patients undergo treatment (some restrictions apply); patient support, such as wigs, hats, turbans, and hairdressing services (for patients who have lost or are losing hair due to treatment); and support groups.
To educate the community on the prevention and early detection of cancer.
The Elko Cancer Network aims to provide important cancer education at area health fairs, community centers, and other local events. Your donations help us to provide the educators and materials needed to reach the greatest audience.
To build a patient house for the use of patients staying in Elko for cancer treatments.
We are working with local builders on plans to build a patient house in Elko, for the use of cancer patients traveling from out of town for treatments.
We are recognized as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization by the Internal Revenue Service. Donations may be tax deductible; talk to your tax advisor.
